Many cosmetics include active ingredients developed using biotechnology techniques that allow their effects on the skin to be exploited. It is becoming more and more common to hear in product descriptions or advertisements that certain active ingredients or compounds are used, and the general public is becoming familiar with them and accepting their use as beneficial and as something that improves the effectiveness of the products.

From the point of view of companies, biotechnology is integrated into processes and is allowing them to market products that are more sustainable and better adapted to changing markets that demand less impact in their production and greater effectiveness in the problems they treat. In short, this is a demanding market in which there is an increasing demand for products that address several problems at the same time, through simple application routines and that are safe and effective in their application.

In this context, biotechnology can be approached from different perspectives and the round table will address practical experiences that will show the latest trends in the sector.
