Why Galicia?

Galicia as a whole is firmly committed to biotechnology as a lever for economic, social and technological progress, with the Consolidation Strategy for the Galician Biotechnology sector 2021-2025, as a central element for the structuring and organisation of the biotechnology ecosystem around the productive business fabric.

It is led by the Xunta de Galicia, through the Axencia Galega de Innovación and the Clúster Tecnolóxico Empresarial das Ciencias da Vida, BIOGA, and its main focus is on public-private collaboration. It has the support of the entire sector, which works synergistically and collaboratively to position Galicia as a Bioregion of international reference.

Galicia has a cutting-edge biotechnology industry, with leading international companies and innovative start-ups that develop cutting-edge products and services.
