One of the great challenges of the post-genomic era is based on the difficulty of understanding and characterising the functionality of proteins within their physiological context. This is mainly due to their complex regulatory mechanisms (changes in protein concentration, post-translational modifications, pH changes or interactions with other molecules in the environment).

Over the last decade, Promega has developed a set of reported technologies based on a luciferase, which has proven to be extremely useful in combination with other technologies such as CRISPR, to generate physiologically relevant cellular models that allow analysis at many levels.
